Hello, my name is Alex Kearney and I am excited to be joining RESULTS UK as Fundraising Officer. I will be working towards developing sustainable funding streams for RESULTS UK to continue to deliver and expand upon the important work that it does.
Prior to joining RESULTS UK, I was responsible for raising funds to support The Clipperton Project, an international non-profit organisation based in Glasgow that uses interactions between the arts and sciences to engage international audiences with environmental issues.
I have also worked in a fundraising capacity with CODA International, an international NGO that delivers development projects in Africa, Central America and the Middle East, focusing on a broad range of thematic issues.
I hold an MSc in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and have experience of working around the world, including in Zambia, Madagascar, Mexico, and as an intern with the South African human rights organisation, Black Sash.
I am looking forward to working closely with the whole team to support the high-impact work that RESULTS UK conducts to bring about an end to extreme poverty.
